The station's anemometer is in a good location, but the location of the sensor suite is not ideal, with morning shade and some rain-shadowing. This also affects the calculation of sunshine hours. The rain sensor is not heated, so precipi- tation measurements are unreliable when the temperature is at or below freezing. The wind direction sensor is currently having intermittent problems (the marker of which is a fixed North indication). |
